Mr Mark Ho-Asjoe

Asian Aesthetics

WHAT IS INVOLVE IN ASIAN AESTHETICS?

Asian aesthetics is not about “westernization” but more about improving the harmony and facial balance. Maintaining and understanding ethnic features is vital to Asian cosmetic surgery. Mr Ho-Asjoe has a special interest in Asian Aesthetics with his training taking him to both Taiwan and Shanghai where cosmetic surgery is extremely popular but not publicized.

Double eyelid surgery and nasal augmentation (rhinoplasty or non-surgical rhinoplasty) are by far the two most popular cosmetic surgeries in the Asian community but uncommon in the Caucasian population. These surgeries can be carried out under local anesthetics as a day case, or the non-surgical treatments within an hour. More recently, there is an increase in the popularity of non-invasive procedures such as Botox and fillers, specifically for the non-surgical rhinoplasty.  The procedure is minimally invasive with none of the risks associated with a surgical procedure.

All these procedures play an important role in facial and body aesthetics and it is important to have a detailed consultation to identify the best treatment.
